Present a resolution, not a problem. Issues concerning your work load can arise anytime. Going into your boss and asking him “what will I do with this, Sir?” is a no, no. Rather, you tell him the problem and present remedial options. If you have some social anxiety disorder symptoms, try to overcome this since this will be your great hindrance. Your job is to help him accomplish the office works, not to give him puzzles to solve.

Resolve the issue at your level. Before you present your concern to your boss, it is ideal that you exhaust all means available within your reach to address it. A successful employee is able to resolve any work-related problem before it reaches to the knowledge of his boss.

Things You Should Know About Lacrosse

Lacrosse is a Native American team sport that is mainly played in the United States and in Canada. The goal of the game is to score by shooting a lacrosse ball into an opponent’s goal, just like basketball, but with the use of the Lacrosse stick. This contact sport is played in an open air field with each offensive and defensive area surrounded by a net or a restraining box. An indoor version of the game is called box lacrosse where the game is played in a hockey rink where the ice has been melted and removed. This is the most popular lacrosse type of play endorsed by the Canadian Lacrosse Association and the National Lacrosse League. Women’s lacrosse is another type of this game which has different contact rules and different equipment specifications that men’s lacrosse.

The rules of the game is very simple; to score in the opponent’s goal. The traditional lacrosse stick is made of wood from the Hickory tree but contemporary players now use sticks made from hard plastic that are more flexible and durable. A nylon pocket is at the end of every stick to carry the ball to the goal. Before, leather strings were strung as a pocket but now nylon seems to be the most popular. The lacrosse stick is not complete without its shaft or handle. It is made of a hollow metal made out of aluminum, titanium or scandium and are mostly covered at the end with a rubber butt. The solid rubber ball for lacrosse is usually all white but now it has gone multicolored as well.

Lacrosse is played with as many as 10 players in the field all with the object of getting the ball into the opposite goal. One player may get the ball using his stick as other players tackle and block opponents to prevent a steal. Just like basketball, there are rules for contact and there are penalties for breaking said rules. A penalty box, similar to a hockey game, is where players who are in penalty are made to sit out a portion of the game. Just like in any team sport, a game clock dictates the minutes of the game, and a typical game of lacrosse is about 60 minutes long with 4 quarters each. 

Rules of the game are very much the same as basketball and hockey with penalty shots and face offs. It is always a rule to stay in your own backyard such as in field lacrosse with the defender players always keeping in their own offensive zones. Only a player called the midfielder can run back and forth an entire section of the field without any restriction. Just like in any sport, there are referees that monitor the entire play keeping close watch to prevent any player injuries and any brawls that can happen in any particular point of the game.
